Richard B. Eismann was raised in Grants Pass, Oregon and grew up working on his family’s hop farm. After he served in the U.S. Navy Reserve, Richard’s rational nature and gift of debate along with his desire to help people inspired him to pursue a career in law. He graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar and Idaho State Bar in 1949.
Shortly after passing the bar, Richard opened his law office in Homedale, Idaho after deciding he liked the fishing, bird hunting and weather of Idaho better than Oregon. Due to a fire in 1985, Richard and his wife, Geri, moved his office to Nampa, Idaho.
In 1990, Richard’s youngest daughter, Debra L. Eismann, started working at the family firm. This family tradition continued to the next generation when Richard’s grandson, Ryan Martinat, also joined the law firm in 2011. After Richard’s passing in January of 2021, Debra and Ryan have continued the practice as Partners.
